The Demonstration Day on thursday 26 June 2008 proved to be very worthwhile. Working demonstrations of the BavTrak 009 & 025 concrete crushers, the Timberwolf s426 multi purpose shredder and a single chamber baling machine were running throughout the day.
A wide cross section of people attended including leading housebuilders, builders & civils contractors, skip hire & recycling businesses and farmers.
Despite occassional rain showers the demonstrations continued with; concrete and general rubble crushing, shredding of green waste, waste wood & pallets, baling; bulk bags, sileage wrap, mixed plastics and an experiment of baling loose triple rinsed plastic containers which proved really successful.
Demonstration Days are often regarded as a lottery as no one knows how many people will attend and whether the event will be worthwhile. Despite inclement weather our first demonstration day was regarded by all as worthwhile with numerous follow up visits and appointments made on the day.
The most interesting aspect was the number of people who attended with the intention of looking at one machine, but left realising that a combined service of machine ownership or rental alongside of a managed service of mobile shredding, crushing or baling by Site Recycling can deliver real savings over traditional waste disposal methods.
A further day is now planned for late July. Date yet to be fixed.

This year we have a stand at Driffield Show. The largest one day agricultural show in the UK with around 25,000 people attending on the day.
We have a large stand located on Block C, and will be displaying the BavTrak 009 & 025 Compact Crushers and Alligator Crushers, our range of Balers and Timberwolf s426 Multi Purpose Shredders.
To show the variety of materials which can be baled we will be displaying bales of cardboard, bulk bags & plastic. In addition crushed and shredded material will also be on display to show how recycling on site can provide re-usable aggreates and mulch.
Many people do not realise that Site Recycling can provide a very cost effective alternative to traditional waste disposal methods, typically saving customers between 30-50%.
Driffield Show is a great day out and if you can make it please call in and see us. A good day out may end up saving you a lot of money!

As authorised dealers of Timberwolf shredders, we have been trying the machines capabilities out in the field. The range of materials that can be processed with the S426 is extremely broad. Most people assume that shredders are only capable of shredding wood & green waste. This may be true of some machines but not the Timberwolf S426. This machine is truly multi-purpose and so far has been used to shred; illicit toys, cigarettes, plasterboard, waste wood, pallets (120/hr), green waste, Upvc, plastic drainage, window & door frames & furniture, computer hard drives & keyboards, mobile phones and two way radios.
It is also proving very successful as a pre-processing machine to reduce waste volumes being transported by skips. The shredder will visit factories, garden centres, building sites and shred waste straight into the customers existing skips, increasing the volume of waste being removed per skip by around 7:1.
We offer Free Assessments for customers to see how their waste costs can be reduced, and usually provide savings of 30 - 50% over their traditional waste disposal methods.

This years SED show closed after what proved to be a very busy 3 days on the Digbits stand. On display were static bavTrak 009 & 025 concrete crushers along with working crushing demonstrations by each model of machine. A Bav3 Alligator crusher was also being demonstrated. The stand was really very busy throughout the first two days with a constant stream of interested visitors. Day 3 remained busy until early afternoon when things began to wind down as the weather closed in and the rain started.
The BavTrak 025 was voted by an independent panel of experts to be not just the best compact crusher in its class but also the best piece of recycling equipment at the show. BavTrak machines are completely different to other compact crushers because they crush using hydraulic pressure. This gives much greater power than any toggle crusher of comparable size and enables the feed hopper to be around twice the size of any competitor machine. Another big advantage is that the BavTrak tend to clog or block far less than small toggle crushers as they easily lose torque/momentum requiring the crusher box to be emptied before the machine can be re-started. The BavTrak on the other hand does not lose pressure becasue its hydraulic rams keep compacting with huge force. Put simply if a piece of rubble will fit into the hopper, the BavTrak will crush it! No other machine will do this!!

The purpose built trailer for the BavTrak 025 has now been thoroughly tested and we are pleased to report that it has delivered huge advantages to transporting the 025 machines around. With a combined gross weight of 3500kg (loaded) it is towable behind a number of 4×4 vehicles. This makes delivery very economical and efficient, and allows movement around tight sites very easy. The trailer although lightweight is super strong. Securing the 025 could not be easier, as this requires just two ratchet straps over and along the tracks of the machine to fasten it securely to the bed of the trailer.
Built for us by a leading manufacturer of specialist trailers, we are now pleased to be able to offer these as part of our growing product range. Please see Our Equipment section for more details.

We have recently added a Bav1 Alligator Crusher to our hire fleet. The attachment is being used for a special purpose deep inside a redundant railway tunnel in the Pennines. The Contractor having considered all of the alternative ways of undertaking the task chose the Alligator because of its ability to both crush reinforced concrete and snip reinforcement bar in two simple and efficient moves. With 12,000 mouthfuls ahead of it the Bav1 has an arduous job to do. Averaging 1 bite per minute the Alligator is performing beyond everyones expectations!

SED at the Rockingham Motor Speedway on May 13, 14 & 15 looks set to be very busy for us. Many of our customers are expected to visit the country’s premier plant exhibition. Digbits Ltd, manufacturers of the BavTrak range of Compact Crushers are exhibiting and we are on the stand for the full 3 days to see existing and potential customers. The run up to the show has been given a further boost as the BavTrak 025 crusher has been Voted SED Recycling Product of Excellence 2008 by an independent panel of industry judges.
The award was accepted by Digbits Director Marcus Clay at the ceremony at Reed Business Publication’s HQ in Surrey. The BavTrak 025 was recognised as not just the ‘best crusher’, but the best new piece of recycling kit overall at SED 2008. For further details of this news please go to the following address;

The BAVTrak 009 and 025 machines were on display at the Executive Hire Show in Coventry. The exhibition held at the Ricoh Stadium, home of Coventry City Football Club showcased a wide range of equipment and services centred on the plant hire industry.
Our machines were on display on both days, 6 & 7 February 2008, on our stand in the main hall and also by special invitation in the Green Zone. This section specifically featured equipment which had an Environmental theme.
Both stands proved to be extremely busy with many visitors attending the show primarily to see our crushers.
The new legislation coming into force in April this year requiring Site Waste Management Plans is clearly acting as a catalyst for those companies wishing to hit the ground running with equipment capable of dealing with waste on site.
