    Waste Wood Space Heating

    Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

We can now provide our customers with waste wood burning space heaters! With the increased cost of gas & oil we can now provide an economic alternative with the installation of a waste wood boiler. These systems provide space heating instead of or in addition to traditionally fuelled heaters.

The units basically comprise of an advanced firebox within a convection unit that has directional blowers on top. The firebox is fuelled with nay type of waste wood/mdf/chipboard offcuts, and the resultant heat is blown out through the vents.

During the summer months a bypass chimney can be fitted which sends the heat to atmosphere meaning that the unit can run year round to minimise waste wood building up.

Funding assistance is available via the Carbon Trust. Typically for any business filling around a skip/week & running gas fuelled space heating the system will cover its costs in around 1 year. The Carbon Trust will provide funding to neutralise any effect on cashflow that the purchase of this equipment may have.

Equipment sizes are available for burning a few kilo’s per week up to around 1.5 tons.
